PENDLE 3 PEAKS FELL RACE

Not many fell races offer climbs similar to those found in Lake District or North Wales.

For this reason Cannonball Events are pleased to introduce this gem of a race, ’The Pendle 3 Peaks’.

Registration and number and timing tag collection from 9am at Race HQ

9 miles / 14.48 km 2700ft / 823m ascent.

Please note pre entry price is much cheaper than on the day costs to encourage people to use this method.

ROUTE DETAILS

We feel that this is the route that best embraces the fells around the Pendle area. It takes on the 3 toughest Climbs in the area with great descents and fast running in between. The race is perfect for those seeking to step up to the full tour of Pendle/Lakeland races or similar AL or BL fell races. It will also challenge the true fell runner who enjoys grassy descent and tough long climbs.

The Route.

The route is being run in the summer so hopefully the visibility and weather will be good. The route will be partially (not fully) marked and will have marshals at all check points. However navigation skills maybe required so the carrying of a map and compass is mandatory. Please click on maps for a printable version or create your own using your own OS map. Charity information link

Each year I will donate a percentage of my profits to a different charity. This year in honour of my Grandma (Joan Mary Lloyd) I am donating to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. This is a very worthy charity and offers amazing facilities and respite for both patients and families dealing with Cancer and the effects of the illness.

Collection buckets may also be placed at the different events to ask for further loose change to help with their funds.
